7 DAY TECH DETOX – DAY #4

Today was a good day! This was day 4 in our Tech-Detox, and things are actually getting easier for us. When I got home from work the house had an overwhelming sense of peace in it. Usually the TV may be on, or the kids might be doing something like playing a game or watching a movie. Today the kids were calm, and the house was noticeably more quiet and peaceful than normal. Maybe it’s just my mind playing tricks on me, but it was very pleasant.

Dean made the decision to take tomorrow off from work. This decision was easy because we had been talking and we have noticed that ever since we began this detox it has almost felt like we’ve been on a vacation. We have felt like the days have been much longer than normal, and that’s primarily due to the fact that we are fully engaging with one another on a very regular basis, and since we aren’t wasting much time we are fillings those slots with fun activities. Whereas before we had the distractions of our cell phones and TV that stole our attention from each other.

This is going to be a short blog post because there is only one point I want to drive home…

DO THIS CHALLENGE!!!

You will feel like your days are longer, and they will be much more fulfilling. You will begin to see how much time you actually waste in a normal day, and it’s honestly just heart breaking. There are only 24 hours in each day, or 1,440 minutes in each day. Let’s stop wasting them with fruitless distractions, and start focusing on the precious time we have with one another every day. INVEST THOSE HOURS AND MINUTES WISELY!

We would love to hear your thoughts on this 7-Day Tech Detox so far! Are you considering doing it? If so, leave a comment! And also hit that FOLLOW button to know when we post a blog!
